PURCHASING AGENT
Job Summary
​Responsible for purchasing construction materials related to Divisions 5, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 12. Coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services to assist in the successful bidding and execution of commercial construction projects. Requests bids then analyze vendor pricing and capacity, to meet budget and project requirements, negotiating if necessary. Presents recommendations to project teams and prepares contracts for the work.

Essential Job Duties
Duties/Responsibilities

Review specifications and architectural drawings to confirm scope of work, including material and labor requirements.

Identify buy out scope (architectural millwork, ornamental metals, glass, etc) on the project.

Request quotes, analyze pricing and compliance, prepare contracts, and process the required documentation.

Work directly with estimators, AutoCAD Millwork Engineers, and Project Managers.

Interview vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

Own, maintain, review, and follow takeoff and procurement schedules.

Prepares requests for quotes, collates data to present to PM, and creates purchase orders.

Maintains procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, or inventories.

Build out Bills of Material (BOM) on every Work Order and work with Engineering on fabrication requirements.

Source and release work to vendors and suppliers to build the work as needed.

Meet the demands of the project schedule and strive to procure beneath budgeted costs.

Perform other duties as requested by the Manager.​
