Hours: 40 hours per work. Must be flexible to working over 40 hours when needed. Standard hours are Monday-Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm
Job Description
The Field Manager's primary function is to provide on their sites oversight of all field operations, management, and direction of all Edge jobsite employees. The position will ensure that all resources of the company are managed and coordinated in an efficient and professional manner on all projects, in order to perform work within the budget and ahead of schedule. The following is a broad prospectus of the duties and responsibilities.

Essential Job Duties
1. Plan, organize and staff key field positions to accommodate the specific project requirements.

Coordinate and schedule multiple millwork installations and jobsites and communicate clearly through daily reports.

Work daily to keep the crews supplied with all products (tools, lifts, fasteners etc.) to maintain an efficient installation.

Walk daily ahead of installation and perform QAQC on substrates – find problems before they do.

Attend weekly jobsite foreman meetings for each project and coordinate with clients and other trades for efficiency and success.

Continually update the project manager with jobsite status and installation status with daily reports and weekly work plans.

Maintain weekly missing material list and work with Project Engineer and Project Manager to get completion.

2. Monitor project objectives, company policies, procedures and performance standards of all jobsite personnel.

Stay in communication with project managers and superintendents concerning the state of jobsites to accurately determine installation and product delivery timeframes.

Communicate with superintendents to maintain an accurate status of jobsites prior to install and during the install process.

Weekly safety audits and toolbox talks with all installers onsite. Send weekly safety audit to Edge internal project team and Brent Sharp (director of field operations).
3. Monitor and coordinate delivery of material and supply procurement, as well as the management and distribution of these materials, supplies, and equipment.

Develop and execute on pre-task planning for installs.

Inventory materials with installers or before they get set up.

Stocking Plan – have a written stocking plan for each scenario/detail of project.

Manage, Store and protect materials that deliver to site.

4. Monitor the distribution of all labor resources and maintain tool inventory.

Weekly work plans every Wednesday for next week’s manpower needs.

Work with installation crews to solve field related issues.
5. Demonstrate and ensure quality craftsmanship in our finish carpentry and specialty scopes.

Inventory of each delivery and cross reference against jobsite needs – produce inventory list and missing items within 24 hours to office.

Produce 100% completion confirmation within 2 days of carpenter completion.

Produce Edge QAQC list to field installers within 2 days of completion of 100 % complete list.

Work with GC to understand the punch list process on their end for owner/architect/contractor and meet or beat their dates.
6. Manage the labor budget on multiple projects to ensure that installation budgets are met.

Manage labor work orders in Innergy and line out install based on durations laid out there.

Keep percent complete current and up to date with each PM.

Provide solutions to labor issues to make sure that projects hit their install budgets.
The above duties are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to define minimum activities. These duties may be altered to suit the needs of the particular project and job scope.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong finish carpentry experience, specific knowledge of construction finishes, excellent organization and communication, and the ability to prioritize and lead others.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or the equivalent combination of education and related commercial construction experience.

High School Diploma and 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.

Bilingual (English and Spanish) desired, but not required.

Forklift and OSHA 30/10 certifications are preferred but not required.

Experience

Experience in architectural millwork industry, preferably multiple years of commercial construction experience.

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Ability to prioritize multiple moving deadlines.

Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively on a project team.

Ability to plan ones' own time and manage the time of others, as needed. Demonstrates good time management skills.

Ability to problem solve, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and exercise sound construction and safety oriented judgment.
